Conscious Matchmaking – Service Policy

1. Our Core Matchmaking Approach

At Conscious Matchmaking, the foundation of our process is emotional and psychological compatibility.

This layer of compatibility helps ensure that the connection is not based only on surface-level similarities but also on deeper relational dynamics that support long-term partnership.

In addition to this core compatibility framework, we also agree to include certain additional criteria shared by the client at the time of registration in order to customize the search process according to their preferences and what they value in a potential partner.

These additional criteria may include factors such as location, lifestyle preferences, professional background, family considerations, or other personal requirements that are important to the client.

2. Our Matchmaking Process

Matchmaking is a human-centered process that involves personal preferences, evolving expectations, and interpersonal chemistry. While the service is designed to facilitate compatible introductions, the outcome of any interaction ultimately depends on the individuals involved.

A professional matchmaking process typically follows these stages:

1. Client provides filters and non-negotiables
The client shares the criteria and preferences that are important to them in a potential partner.

2. Matchmaker searches and conducts compatibility shortlisting
The matchmaking team searches within its network and database, identifying profiles that show emotional and psychological compatibility while also aligning with the client’s stated filters.

3. Compatible profile is identified and presented
Once a profile is found that aligns with the compatibility framework and the client’s criteria, the profile is shared with the client along with an offer to facilitate the introduction.

4. Client decides whether to proceed with the introduction
Both individuals then decide whether they would like to proceed with the introduction and begin communication.

From a service perspective, the core matchmaking work of search, compatibility evaluation, and shortlisting is completed by Step 3, which is the stage where a compatible profile is identified and presented.

3. Definition of a Match

Within our service model, a match is counted when a compatible profile is identified and presented to the client along with an offer to facilitate the introduction.

At this stage:

  • The matchmaking team has completed the search process and identified a profile.

  • Compatibility has been evaluated based on emotional and psychological alignment.

  • The profiles have been checked for mutual compatibility against each others’ filters and non-negotiables.

  • The introduction is ready to be arranged if both individuals wish to proceed.

While the matchmaking team facilitates the opportunity for connection, the decision to proceed with the introduction and subsequent communication remains a personal choice for the individuals involved.

4. Situations where a match will not be counted

A match will not be counted in situations where an introduction cannot take place through no fault of the client, and the inability to proceed arises due to a change in circumstances on the other individual’s side after the profile has been shared.

Examples include situations where:

  • The client is willing to proceed with the introductory call, but the other individual introduces new filters or preferences that were not part of their originally stated criteria, resulting in the introduction not going forward.

  • The client is willing to proceed with the introductory call, but the other individual decides to relocate outside India or to another geography, creating an incompatibility that was not part of the original criteria shared with the matchmaking team.

  • After the profile has been shared or the introductory call has been proposed, the other individual informs the team that they have found a match independently outside the platform, making the introduction no longer possible.

  • The client is ready to proceed with the introduction, but the other individual informs the team that they are currently seeing someone else or have decided to pause their matchmaking process.

  • The introduction needs to be postponed for an indefinite period because the other individual becomes unavailable for the introductory call due to personal or medical circumstances.

In such situations, where the introduction cannot proceed due to changes or circumstances arising on the other individual’s side and beyond the control of the matchmaking team, the match will not be counted.

5. Outcomes After an Introduction

Once an introduction has been facilitated, the decision to continue or discontinue the interaction rests entirely with the individuals involved.

If both individuals agree to proceed with the introductory call but later if one or both of them decide not to take the interaction forward, the match will still be considered counted within the service process. This remains the case irrespective of which individual chooses not to proceed or the reasons for that decision.

The decision not to pursue the interaction further may arise from a variety of personal factors. These may include perceived lack of attraction, differences in lifestyle preferences, differing life goals, value system differences, personality dynamics, or other aspects that may become apparent only through conversation and which may not have been known to the matchmaking team during the compatibility assessment.

While the matchmaking team facilitates the opportunity for connection, the development of the conversation and the eventual decision to continue or discontinue the interaction remain personal to the individuals involved and fall outside the scope of the matchmaking service.

The matchmaking team retains full discretion in determining compatibility shortlisting and the timing of profile presentations based on the internal matchmaking framework.

6. Service Scope and Expectations

Confidentiality of Profiles

All profiles and personal information shared through the matchmaking process are confidential and provided solely for the purpose of evaluating a potential introduction. Clients are expected not to share, distribute, or disclose profile information to third parties without the consent of the individual concerned.

Client Communication

Clients are expected to respond to profile presentations or introduction requests within a reasonable timeframe. Extended periods of non-responsiveness may result in the matchmaking process being temporarily paused until communication resumes.

Service Limits

The matchmaking team works within its existing network and outreach channels. While every effort is made to identify compatible profiles, the availability of matches ultimately depends on the size and diversity of the network.

Nature of Personal Compatibility

While emotional and psychological compatibility forms the foundation of the matchmaking process, personal attraction, chemistry, and relationship dynamics are deeply subjective and can only be determined by the individuals themselves through interaction.

The matchmaking team cannot guarantee mutual attraction, romantic interest, or relationship outcomes between any two individuals introduced through the service.

No Guarantee of Relationship Outcome

The service is designed to facilitate meaningful introductions between compatible individuals.

While the matchmaking team makes sincere efforts to identify and present compatible profiles, the service does not guarantee marriage, engagement, long-term partnership, or a specific relationship outcome, as these depend on mutual decisions and evolving dynamics between the individuals involved.

Impact of Highly Specific Preferences

The availability of compatible matches depends on the size and diversity of the matchmaking network as well as the specificity of the criteria defined by the client.

When partner preferences become highly restrictive or involve multiple narrow filters, the pool of potential matches may reduce significantly. In such situations, the time required to identify suitable matches may increase, and the number of compatible profiles available may be limited.

Changes in Client Preferences

If a client introduces new partner preferences or non-negotiables after the matchmaking search has already begun, the matchmaking team may need to adjust the search process accordingly.

Such changes may affect the availability of compatible matches and may extend the time required to identify suitable profiles.

7. Client Declarations and Code of Conduct

All information submitted by clients during the registration process is treated as self-declared information. Clients are expected to ensure that the details provided, including personal, professional, marital, and other relevant information, are accurate and truthful to the best of their knowledge.

If at any stage concerns are raised regarding the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of the information provided, the matchmaking team reserves the right to review the profile and seek clarification from the client. Pending such clarification, the matchmaking team may pause the client’s profile and matchmaking process.

If the concerns remain unresolved, or if it is determined that material information has been misrepresented or withheld, the matchmaking team reserves the right to suspend or terminate the client’s participation in the matchmaking service.

Clients are also expected to maintain respectful and professional conduct in all interactions with members of the matchmaking team as well as with individuals they are introduced to through the platform.

If any complaint of inappropriate behavior, misconduct, or disrespectful communication towards members of the matchmaking team or towards other individuals introduced through the service is reported and substantiated, the matchmaking team reserves the right to pause, suspend, or terminate the client’s profile and access to the service at its discretion.

8. Timeline for Matchmaking Search

The matchmaking shortlisting process begins only after the registration process has been fully completed. This includes the submission of all required forms, questionnaires, and supporting information requested as part of the onboarding process.

Once all required information has been submitted and the registration formalities are complete, the matchmaking team initiates the search and shortlisting process based on the client’s compatibility profile and the criteria shared during registration.

While the team makes every effort to conduct the search within a reasonable timeframe, the duration of the search process may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the criteria involved.

In certain cases, the timeline may extend where the search involves highly specific or restrictive filters, including but not limited to:

  • Very narrow preferences relating to location, lifestyle, or professional background

  • Specific physical attributes or appearance-related criteria

  • Particular medical or health considerations that require careful compatibility assessment

  • Rigid or highly specific partner preferences

  • Situations where the compatibility requirements significantly reduce the available pool of potential matches

In such circumstances, additional time may be required for the matchmaking team to identify profiles that align meaningfully with both the core emotional and psychological compatibility framework as well as the client’s stated filters and non-negotiables.

The matchmaking team will continue to conduct the search in good faith; however, timelines may reasonably vary depending on the availability of suitable and compatible profiles within the network.
